Q.01 Where is Code Culture based?
Code Culture is operated as an eenmanszaak in Utrecht, Netherlands, with a US legal entity (Pink Pixel LLC, Wyoming) handling US-side commerce. Shirts are printed on demand by our partner POD provider, who ships from the fulfillment center closest to your address. EU orders ship from EU, US orders ship from US.
-
Q.02 Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to most countries worldwide. Rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your destination. EU and US orders are the fastest because they ship from local fulfillment.
-
Q.03 How long until my order arrives?
Print time is 2 to 3 business days. After that, US domestic orders typically arrive in 3 to 7 days, EU in 3 to 7 days, and international elsewhere in 7 to 14 days. The exact estimate shows on your product page based on your shipping country.
-
Q.04 Do I get tracking?
Yes. Once your order ships, you get an email with a tracking link. Real-time updates, no debugging required.
-
Q.05 Will I pay customs or import fees?
EU orders shipped from our EU fulfillment partner: no customs, VAT included in the price. International orders shipped across customs borders may incur import fees on delivery, which are the buyer's responsibility. The exact rules depend on your country's customs threshold.
Product & sizing.
-
Q.06 What size should I order?
Our shirts run true to size with a unisex regular fit. There's a full size chart with cm and inches measurements for every size from S to 4XL. If you're between sizes and want a relaxed fit, size up. Still unsure, email hello@codeculture.store with your usual size in another brand and I'll point you to the right Code Culture size.
-
Q.07 What's the fabric like?
100% ringspun cotton, pre-shrunk, soft hand. Heavy enough to hold its shape, light enough to wear in summer or layer in winter. Built to outlast 50+ wash cycles without the print blinking.
-
Q.08 Will the print crack or fade?
No. We use DTG (direct-to-garment) printing, which means the design lives in the fabric, not on top of it. No vinyl, no flake, no 6-month crackle. Wash cold, tumble low, treat it like production code and it'll outlive your last three startups.
-
Q.09 Will the shirt shrink after washing?
It's pre-shrunk fabric, so what you see in the size chart is what you get. Expect roughly 3 to 5% shrinkage on the first wash, then it stays put. Cold wash, tumble dry low, no surprises.
-
Q.10 How should I care for my Code Culture shirt?
Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colors. Tumble dry low, or hang dry. Skip the bleach. With proper care, the shirt will outlast most of the side projects in your GitHub.
Orders & returns.
-
Q.11 What's the return policy?
Because each shirt is custom-printed when you order, we don't accept returns for sizing or change-of-mind. To prevent that, check the size chart on every product page or email hello@codeculture.store before you order. If the shirt arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, we'll arrange a free reprint, no questions asked. Full details on the refund policy.
-
Q.12 EU customers, what about the 14-day cooling-off?
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. Personalised and made-to-order items (which includes our DTG-printed shirts) are exempt from that right under Article 16(c) of the Directive. The full Annex I withdrawal form template, plus everything that DOES qualify, is on the refund policy.
-
Q.13 Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We start processing orders fast. Email hello@codeculture.store immediately if you need to change or cancel. Once an order has entered production (usually within hours), we can't pull it back. It's like trying to revert a force-push that already hit prod.
-
Q.14 What if my shirt arrives damaged?
Email hello@codeculture.store within 30 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We'll arrange a free reprint and reship. No restocking fees, no runaround.
Bulk & custom.
-
Q.15 Do you offer bulk discounts for teams?
Yes. Orders of 10+ shirts qualify for team pricing. Email hello@codeculture.store with your headcount and which design you want, and I'll send a quote. Good for engineering teams, conferences, internal swag, and dev meetups.
-
Q.16 Can I request a custom design?
Yes, for bulk orders. If your team has an inside joke, a stack-specific punchline, or a launch you want to mark with a tee, email hello@codeculture.store. Single-shirt custom requests aren't supported (the economics don't work for one-offs), but design ideas for the public catalog are always welcome.
Question not answered here?
Email hello@codeculture.store. I read every email and reply faster than most code reviews. No bots, no canned responses.
